Default MRC RB982 Power Supply - high output voltage.

I have purchased from TowerHobbies MRC RB982 Power Supply with specified output 15VDC@10amp.

When connected to 220V/50Hz the PS in fact outputs 15.20 VDC, which makes it impossible to use with most chargers taking max. 15VDC.

Is there any way to regulate output voltage to bring it down to original product specification - 15VDC?

It was an international order, and MRC e-mail support only suggested I send the PS back to US.
As shipping cost is nearly equal to the purchase price from TowerHobbies, I still wonder how to deal with it the most practical way.

Hi, and welcome to RCU.

I had the same trouble with it, it is just over 15 volts. I opened mine up and can't see an easy way to adjust it. I'm no electrical guru, but there may be a diode of sorts you can put inline with the output power to reduce the voltage.

I use similar set-up on another smaller power suplly to reduce the voltage below 15 volts. I use these in 2s2p config.
You may need 3 in parallel. http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search

Or 1 of the correct specs.

I have done what guver suggests, and it does work. Wire exactly as he stated, and it should work.
