It all depends on what size copter you want and what your needs will be. I build my own frames from scratch using aluminum and a material called Phenolic( its like a wood based carbon fiber).

Hi, Irish,
I'm sorry but no my X8 version isn't under $200.
There is only one 600mm diameter foldable frame in the world made with aeronotic quality aluminium
If you make a small research you will see that my prices are very reasonnable respect to the quality of the frame I sell

Yes, I think so but develloping these frames took me 3 months, develloping another frame would take a loooong time.
I need to produce an Y6 frame too, a professionnal camera mount, a retractable landing gear etc...
I started my activiti in frame building by propsing a bulk order for an SLE X9.01 frame, the operation was a non profit offer and the cost of one single frame was 95€ (without nuts and bolts...), the frame was smaller and not foldable. I let you imagine the production cost of an HEXASTAR now
the old bulk order can be seen here :
SLE X9.01 frame produced and anodised
the diameter of the SLE was 480mm.
(and before any asking: it's no more available
)

hmmm well ... you know the Q4 hammer isn't an open source frame ^^
You should use the SLE X9.01 drawings: the frame is better than the Q4: more stifness.
