Hi Guys,
I have a Walkera mx400 quad copter which I like very much, using the Devo 7 that came with it. I've had lots of crashes, all my fault (orientation),but a few days ago on the fourth flight, it was hovering steadily at about 50 feet, when it suddenly flipped to the right. It continued doing tight flips right into the ground; broke all props and bent the left rear arm (x configuration).
All four prop were still secured, just several blades broken; so that eliminates the possibility of a prop flying off. All I can figure out is that a motor died or an esc gave out.
Can anyone tell me what side the motor/esc would be on if the quad flipped to the right?
Has anyone ever experienced this erratic behavior on an X configuration?
Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks,
Wingflier

My Feedback: (1)
My 1SQ developed the same behavior shortly after I got it. By holding it from underneath and rotating it a bit in roll, pitch and yaw, I determined that the problem was the roll axis of the gyro, not the ESC's. I got a replacement board and it is okay now.
