Radio reciever help/advice needed
So I have been into RC bashing for a few years, but that was normally the monster truck thing. I then really wanted to try to start learning to fly. Tried planes and Regular helicopters.... OMG what a disaster. To make a long story short my brother introduced me to the mini quads, I bought an alias and I instantly fell in love (besides the constant dowing brushed motors) as I could actually fly it and control it and it was AMAZING I must say! So I then bought an x4 for something a bit smaller to fly indoors to try to improve my flying. I just recently bought a 250 ARF Quad, kk 2.1.5 board but have no idea about a decent radio and reciever combo. I am not looking to break the bank but would like to be able to cover a decent distance, more than say line of sight. Can someone point me to a decent either combo pack or two individual pieces that would work well together, I will also be doing some FPV should have mentioned that as I really enjoy flying and just want to be able to explore a bit so I imagine that would limit how far I will be able to go or battery will limit me. All the help is appreciated please ignore the ignorance as usually distance is not even a thought for 4x4 construction site bashing so never thought much into it.

I would think that just about any name brand radio (futaba, Spektrum, Tactic, etc. ) would work for the radio. Make sure you get a compatible receiver for the radio. If money is tight , you could go to to Hobby King and get an orange tx and rx. I dont have the orange radio, but have used several orange rec. and they have worked fine for my smaller aiplanes.(parkflyers, , fun cub, and a CTH Assasin. You are looking at about $250.00 for both new, but you might find a used radio for a lesser price.

Thank you very much for the quick response. The only other thing I was wondering if you can help. When I bought the quad says will work with 4 channel but recommends 6 channel for fpv. I know eventually I want to do fpv. But was wondering would there be any need for more channels in the future? Thanks again for listening and answering my noob questions

Here's something that should work well with your setup.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RadioLink-2-...item486d74657c
And it's only a little over 40 bucks shipped and as a bonus it's close to you. Emilyandlilly are based in New Jersey. It's 2.4 ghz and has about all the capability you will need for some time. It will also fly more than one model.
