quad isues with flight controller wl toys v303
My father in law and I both purchased a wl toys v303 seeker. And we both have had a crash. his broke it beyond repair and had to replace both top and bottom halves of the plastic body. also he had to replace the leg that has the compass built into it. My problem is after I got the quad all put back together for him he tried to fly it and somehow it was set to the wrong mode on his controller so had was having issues with stability he didn't realize it was not in mode 2 so he assumed it needed calibrating so he attempted to calibrate the quad but to no avail. next he tried to update the firmware and since that fatefull day has not been able to get the quad to arm or do anything. I have attempted to redo the firmware myself and the best I could get it to do was to say that the firmware updated successfully but still although it would allow me to go through the steps to calibrate it still never armed. so now I have tried a few times to try again this time it gets to a screen where it verifies the install of the new firmware and says error and never does the update. any Ideas of what to try to do aside from checking all the plugs everything is plugged in correctly and all the externals such as gps and compass all work fine. I was thinking about just buying a new different flight controller but I would also need a transmitter and cost of transmitter plus a new brain would cost about the same as the quad trying to avoid that. any other suggestions?
