MVVS 26 - Loctite required?
The set screw that holds the cap to the spark plug appears to dig in quite well to the metal of the cap. Likewise the 2 screws that secure the magnetic pickup to the engine appear to be quite tight. I have the engine all adjusted but was wondering are people using loctite on the set screw and the 2 pickup screws?

Not normally, not during assembly.
The type of cap you describe is very old production, now obsolete though. Maybe ask the previous owner?
