Default Tuned minipipe and header

Hi Dar

After using three MVVS engines (.15, .28 and .45) I have decided to buy another one, .49 with tuned pipe.
However some people adviced me to support the tuned pipe in two points instead of supporting it only in the back part as indicated by producer, otherwise the aluminium header might broke due to vibrations.
What is your experience in respect?

Welcome back, Marian.

I have not had any personal encounter with such an event, but I have a customer, that had a broken header, still during the break-in.

It cannot be a bad idea to add a support at the front end too, or to make a different support, that holds the silencer in its middle, so no added weight is at the end of the header.

My own such engine ran for 35 hours, with no such adverse event.

Marian,

Please take a look at what Curt entered in this [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2148446/anchors_2148446/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#2148446]new thread[/link].

It will certainly solve all your header breakage worries.

Thank you Dar. It was a great idea to create this forum.
