MVVS 61 question

My Feedback: (1)
Hello Dar,
My situation requires a side exhaust .61 without tuned pipe. I can run a tuned muffler (mini-pipe?), like the Ultra Thrust or Jett. I understand the MVVS .61 is a torquer as opposed to a
revver. My question is "How close to OS 91 4 stroke power can I get with the MVVS .61?"
Also, "How do I do it?"
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Jim,
The MVVS 10 cc engine is capable of spinning an APC 14x6 prop, when equipped with the #3253 tuned silencer, at about 10,500 RPM.
The 14x7 is its largest recommended prop size, which means a 13x9, or 15x5 are also suitable (around 10,000 RPM).
It is a lugger and even with the header shortened, it would not like small (11x7 and the like) props.
If it is forced to go down to 9,000 RPM, with an even larger prop, it would be at a disadvantage, compared to a .91 four-stroke.
There I would recommend going to the Diesel 10 cc model, which would be about equal in power a .91 four-stroke.
It would run well with the quiet #3255A muffler too.
