Default Synthetic Break - In Oil ?????

I have a new MVVS 26CC on the way and am wondering why MVVS recommends using syn. oil right from the start when almost every other engine manufacturer recommends using a petrol based oil for the first few gals. Just want to know in order to do this right.

Don,

I believe you are talking about the 26IFS gasoline ignition engine.
The glow versions of this engine require that any and all running be done on Castor oil.

Most of the better gasoline soluble oils, at 2.5-4 % are are synthetic based, not petroleum based.
