Default MVVS 35 gas / Vibrations / Pipe

I'm using a 26 now and thinking about a 35.
Who can say something abouth the vibrations of the 35 compared to the 26
I'm using the Krumscheid 1025 pipe on the 26. This pipe is for engines to 30cc. Will it still be effective on the 35?
Are the headers for the 35, 22mm?

Hi there Hans,

Vibrationwise, I see not much difference, if any at all. Both engines run very smooth.
I run the 35cc on my 9 kilo Multiplex big lift, using the 3271 muffler and Mejzlik 18x10 prop at 7600 rpm. To get a 4 meter glider up to release height I need about half to three quarters of a flight pattern circle.
Using a tuned pipe, the header is 22mm outer diameter, and substantially longer than the 26cc header. To reduce the heat at the coupler end, I replaced a part of it with corrugated stainless, brazed in between. That allowed the use of Glass fibre reinforced silicone hose instead of Teflon tubing. The GFR silicone hose is more flexible.

Hi Pe,
Thanks. Why do you prefer the muffler above the pipe?
In a previous post i saw you had the pipe mounted.
At the site of Vogt I saw this new header 3590RVK

The reason for looking at the 35 is some COG issue for the BigLift.
It is a pity that the 35 is 500gr heavier instead of some 300 that I only need.
The standard header is also quite heavy, so that will give a extra of 600gr totally.

The new 45 is lighter but will give more work with its rear-side carb. I'm searching for a easy replacement of the 26.

You wont get the needed ground clearance with the 45cc engine. I break 20x8" props on the big lift, so only use 18x10 on the 35cc. The 45cc would use 22" or even 24" props. Way too much for that poor Big Lift.
Power is more than adequate using the 3271 muffler, so I got rid of that ugly tube alongside the fuse bottom. Total weight went down as well with ~200 grams. RPM dropped from 8000 to 7600, which was quite acceptable.
