I am getting the Great Planes Patty Wagstaff 300s. It has a wing span of 78" and final wieght of 14 - 16 lb. The specs call for 41-65cc gas engine. The guy at my LHS says the 58 would be to much engine because it is more powerful that other brands. I thought the 58 would be best but he says it would be to much engine. I know people who have Zenoah g62 on it and he says the MVVS 45 has more power. Is this possible.

Scott,
The MVVS 58 cc engines is significantly more powerful than the 45.
The price difference between them would put the 58 cc in favor, unless the magnesium crankcase 45 cc is preferred.
It is much lighter, offsetting its lower power.
The 58 is not too powerful for this plane.
