I want to purchase one of the new 58cc motors but I have a few questions? what is the difference with the prosport and the ifs versions? Also is the Evolution comparable to the IFS or prosport version. I would like to order one as soon as possible and I can get the evo from WildHare RC. I just would like to know others recommendations.
Also If I purchase one from PE Reivers or the Canadian site instead of the horrizon hobby's, How and were would I get service if needed?

Sal,
EVO engines are re-badged MVVS engines, manufactured by MVVS in Czech republic, by the same machines and engineers, that make MVVS engines.
Some of the models are down-graded (to reduce cost?).
...And the name they are sold under has something to do with contracts and marketing issues... You don't want to know.
You will get the warranty, or service needed (if you ever require service... MVVS engines are very reliable and don't need spares very often), from the MVVS dealer who sells the engine to you, be it Pe, Jan, Morris, Dave Moen, or myself.
Or you can get any part that you need from your local dealer.
For EVO, Horizon Hobby, or any MVVS dealer should be able to supply your parts. They will work even if they have an MVVS badge...

Thanks for the info but what about the prosport? what would be the differences from the IFS if any? I am heavily into 3D so would this version produce more power ? and do you think the EVO has the same specs as the IFS?

Sal,
I am currently unaware of any plans to produce the ProSport under the EVO badge.
The #3001/P is slightly more powerful, at a lower RPM range and is equipped with some goodies, like uprated bearings, flowed ports and an air-horn, if I am not mistaken.
It is built for someone who is extremely active in flying and practicing; not for the average 'Sunday flyer'.
It costs more just for that.
