If I shorten or change the bend on the header on the mvvs tuned pipe # 3226 would that have an effect on the overall performance of the engine?
the bend on the header is too large to fit inside. The airframe I am using is the Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%.

PlainCrazy,
If you shorten the header length, the #3266 tuned pipe will want to boost the performance in a higher RPM range, with smaller props.
If, however, you change and sharpen the bend in the header's curve, it may hamper the gas flow within it.
If this happens, performance will be harmed; even worse if the cross-section is deformed.
So if you chose to do this, do it on a mandrel, that would make a new, smaller curve, without changing the cross-section of the tube.
You may want to buy several of these #3265/26 headers, to make sure you get the best result.

I just wanted to be sure before I make a mistake. I have a friend who has a machine shop. I'm sure he can bend it properly if not he said he'll make a new one
works for me thanks for the info

[link=http://shop.lindinger.at/productdetail.asp?ProductID=24879&]Have anyone used this?[/link] I dont have welding equipment, but what weld would be suitable for doing header from pieces? Maybe I can find someone to do that for me.
