Can anyone tell me if the exhaust port on the MVVS58 is the same size as a DA50. I have a couple of KS wraparound headers for a DA50 and will be ordering a new MVVS58 next week and was hoping to be able to use them. I found the exhaust port measurements for the 58 but have had no luck finding the DA50 sizes

I could side mount the engine but I really do not wish too. I'd like to have it inverted going back into a canister behind the engine

If the DA50 KS header does not work, could someone recommend one that will, again preferably wrap around

It won't be a direct bolt on, but you should be able to make it fit fairly easily. Before any of the aftermarket manufacturers started making MVVS 58 specific stuff, the most commonly used exhaust products were DA50 parts modified to suit.

I did find that diagram. I was actually looking for the DA50 measurements but after I created this post I thought that heck, I have a header, I'll just go measure it.

The bolt pattern is 6mm short and the actual port size of the header is something like 10mm too narrow on the flange opening. I think I'll get the measurements of a 3W and see what I can come up with. I can see drilling the bolt holes but 10mm is a lot to try to work with on the flange

There is a great German website that lists exhaust flange sizes for just about every engine produced. You can look for the MVVS and then compare to the other engines.

You can actually order 58 specific parts from KS to built an exhaust of your choice. Because of fit issues I used a KS can on my MVVS 45. It works wonderfully - quiet, and the engine rips! If you have the time for international shipping, then this is a good way to go.
