Default What's voltage for the new MVVS's ignition ?

Hi,
I have buy the last mvvs 45cc and i have put a 1s2P lippo on agnition. But the led of ignition is flickering for to inform that battery is empty and there is no spark ! I checked and it's not empty ! I don't understand this ignition. What's is the good voltage 6volts ? 7.4volts ? or 8.4volts ?

And, I did not understand the programming of the system easy start !!
Please help me.
Thanks.
Pascal.

Hi,
I have a 2s put on ignition and the Led is flickering ! But my lippo is full ! Are you sure that 7,4volts is enough ?
Thanks
Pascal

What does the instruction manual say for battery voltage on the ignition?

even and fast on-off blinking is low voltage
long on-short off blinking is long silencer ignition curve
long on long off blinking is short silencer ignition curve.
If you have a ICU professional, it needs 9-13 volts

Hi,

Thanks but my question was "2s (7.4v) is enough ?"
Tomorrow I buy a 8.4 nimh pack for to try. And when you don't know something you can say "I don't know" preivers !!!

flassh - Pe did answer your question "You need a 2S pack"

You wrote you had a 2P pack, that is only 3.6 volts.

Maybe that is your problem.

2S1P (2s) is 7.4v. So is it enough. If you have the mvvs 45cc with the new ignition you can talk about battery that you use.

Which voltage use to be made function this new ignition ? Me with a 2S1P it answers me that the accumulator is discharged. Thus does that want to say that it is necessary to use an accumulator of 8,4v? And to finish that what 6 - 8.4v wants to say? It is the beach of use?

Pascal, 2S is not the same at 1S2P. You need a 2S1P pack to be precise.

7.4 volts (2S1P) = ok (7.4 volt is between 6 and 8.4 volts)
3.6 volts (1S2P) = not ok (3.6 volts is not between 6 and 8.4 volts)

Yes. It will accept anything between 6 (minimum) and 8.4 (maximum) volts.

Best is LiPO 2S1P at 7.4 volts because it is lightest.
Or you can use 6 cell NiMH/NiCD at 8.4 volt (but is alot heavier)

5 cell at NiMH/NiCD is not a good option, as you will get low voltage warning as soon as the battery goes below 6 volts.

Yes I have a 2S1P (7.4v).
I know that 2S1P is 2 elements of 3.6v and I reapeat I HAVE 2S1P PUT ON IGNITION AND IGNITION SAY THAT IT'S EMPTY !!!!
I looked at behind the ignition and I have see a big "P" maybe my ignition is a professional version ?! It's crazy ! Usually the 45cc is delivered with a standard version of ignition ?

Flassh
Check your ignition with these pictures and see if your ignition is the same as this one. If its the [P] then you need to use more voltage 9-12volts. The 45cc are coming with the standard version ICU, so maybe its a mistake and you got the Professional, this may not be very good though because the P is working on the prosport ,LC and 116cc. with more advance curves and they are using different flywheel to support this ignition. so what i suggest to you if you have the P which should have the voltage written at the back of the ignition as well, use the right amount of volts for example 9-12 volts and try to run your engine to see if the ignition is working correct with your flywheel.

Eftychios

I am glad your problem is solved and i hope the P ignition will not cause any problems with the 45cc flywheel.
Hope the best for you, enjoy your flights!!!

The summer will pass very quickly and I would undoubtedly not have time to finish my Extra-330L before leaving on holiday. I lost more than one week to be tried to make function this (b)uk ignition!

Hi !

Today the engine have run very well. I have mount a 22x12 propeller and the engine is very impressive. The choke is controlled by ignition. The idle is gone down to 887 rpm !!!!!!!!! Enjoy this engine !!!!
