I have mounted the Evolution 45 on the airframe and ran it. The firewall vibrates 1/8" side to side. Only at idle. Is it possible that rough idle will reduce with break in and tuning? The DA boys all say their QQ 86" Yaks are very smooth. Also, would a cannister help? Never had this problem with other gassers.

Adam,
It could be the frequency of idle RPM coincides with the natural frequency of the front of your plane, or with one of its secondaries.
Heterodyne, if you will.
If the model does not disintegrate, live with it.
It will decrease as the engine accumulates more time.

Thank you tailskid. Thats just the news I was hoping for. There is very little time on it and looks like I will just remove it from the airplane and continue to break it in. I dont want to shake apart a new airplane. I can see a blur on the side of the engine box to the firewall when the engine is running. It shakes an 1/8"! Horizon said to put some more time on it before giving up. I hope it does clear up, it would same me from having to swap to a DA. Thanks for the help guys!
