HELP !!! had a dead stick landing on my H9 Extra 260 today, the engine quite on me. Now for the life of me I cannot get it started.
The engine is run in at over 2 1/2 gal, without any cause for concern. Prop swings ok under compression, but no hint of a spark.
I can see the Fuel is flowing thru the sullivan screen filter. (2 filter set up, the first is a Dubro aluminium then thru the sullivan screen type.)
I have a Smart fly ignition kill switch, the light in on.
I have not tried to isolate the set up. All under the cowl and a lot of work to take the prop off to unplug the smart fly setup.
No spark, therefore I'm guessing I must first test the spark. The plug is good, grey white.
How can i test the ignition for a spark.
Miketc

Remove the spark plug and install it in the ignition plug boot as normal. Touch the plug to the head of the engine and flip the prop over as if you were to start it with the ignition on. If you have a good ignition you will see spark at the plug's electrode.
