Default ICU-L Led code

Hi,

What does it mean if the LED on the ICU-L ignition stays lit after switching on? The manual shows only two codes, (Ok, or battery dead)
but not what it means if the LED stays lit.

Thanks!
Sny.

My manual shows three codes:
Fast blinking after power up = battery test running
Fast blinking (5 seconds after power up = battery voltage low
One short flash persecond= sleep mode.

I have the original instruction sheet and the new one available on Pe's web site and neither mention the LED on permanatly state. Sorry not to be any help on this.

Mike

EDIT: just thought of one other place I can check, hold on.

Nope sorry, I thought I would check the Evolution manual just in case, but it does not mention this state either, I am sure that Pe or someone will come back with a reason after the week-end.
Good Luck

Thanks Mike.

After the last run I just switched it off as usual, and today I have this problem. I hope it is not serious.

MSR Engines or whatever does not know what it means either. They are sending a replacement ignition.
Nobody else has ever experienced this?

I was thinking of buying the 45cc, but now I am a bit worried.

Don't be concerned about the 45 its the most powerful 43cc engine out there, on par with the DA50 IMO the 58 Pro is even better, my 45 is in a 2M Extra and the 58 is in a QQ 85" Yak, can't fault them, the only problems I have had have been of my own making.

C onnect LED indicator to the ignition box (red/black wire to “+”).
U sing the included connector, plug your battery pack into the ignition box.
F ive seconds after connecting the bat¬tery, the LED indicator should go out. If the LED is blinking after you connect the battery, the battery’s voltage is too low.LED

janch:

Neither happens. The LED just stays on forever. It does not blink, and it does not go out either.

The light on all the time is not a standard code. Does the engine still run properly?
The ignition may need to be replaced.
