I got to tell you that it is nice of you just to be here doing this with the pilots, i have waited a long time for the perfect twin engine, and i have the phoenix, i am using two ys-110 for engines and i always use soft mounts the hyde mount it makes the difference, the phoenix says it will take a 91 4-stroke well the ys-110 fits in the same space as the 91 does, they run nice they sound nice and on the phoenix there going to look so nice, it has plenty of wing and im sure it is going to fly nice as well, i did not even have to do any ironing, if a company wants to know what is good or what is not, ask us, that is what we all do and that is what you are doing and i am very happy with your products.

I emailed Raidentech a basic question about one of their planes. They did not respond. I emailed them again the same question. They responded "we do not answer tech questions by email, you must call to get your questions answered". UNREAL! You have to call their non toll free number just to get a simple question answered. I will NOT order from them.
Nitroplanes is offering this forum, plus their website says they WELCOME email questions.
Nitroplanes, keep your prices low and u have my business.

Don't e-mail Raidentech about Nitroplanes questions. Raidentech doesn't respond anyway.
Nitroplanes on the other hand has always responded to me, provided you e-mail the right persons. (sometimes repeatedly, sigh....).

You implied that when you posted the comment about Raidentech here in a Nitroplanes thread.

I'll offer some constructive critisism from a newcomer's POV. I recently ordered a 66" P-51D Mustang, and it is yet to arrive so I cannot offer any quality suggestions.
1.) Looking at your Scale RCs, I do notice that many of them do not come with flaps. It may be worth talking to your suppliers about redesigning these airplanes with flaps to more closely resemble their bigger counterparts. Plus, flaps help.
2.) Yes, shipping is expensive, but do you have much control over that?
3.) Offer construction manuals online so builders have time to gather the needed tools to get right to work on the plane. Also gives them time to study.
4.) Put some videos up on your website. Show us how great your birds fly.
5.) I assume your niche would be price. Keep it up. Black Horse Models are around $50 more, but include flaps.
Keep in mind I only focused on what you could improve. In no way am I saying you are bad, or else I wouldn't have bought from you. Keep your business model. The customer likes to know you are there not only to make a profit, but keep having us come back when we make a dumb decision and wreck our planes. Hope this helped. Keet it up Nitroplanes!

Thing I like about em is they are the basic kit, so any bells and whistles you want to add, you add them. You're not forced to buy someone else's idea of what they should or shouldn't have. And for the price they cannot be beat, and there I think lies a problem. From reading the forums on a couple of them, folks are thinking they are going to get something like a VQ P38 when they buy the Nitro version, and then complain about it. If they want that kind of quality and bells and whistles then they need to understand they have to spend the money for it, not bash a lower priced kit because it doesn't have it.
Me I have the Predator, the 52" and 90" P38's, and for the price I was more then happy with what I received. They are a basic kit, which in my case would have involved a long time if I was to attempt to build the same bird. But it was a foundation on which to build. In my case it was adapting them over to electric power, and on both of the 38's installing air retract systems. I got a good foundation for the price. What I built upon it was up to me and my budget.
My only complaint if I have one, is the manuals. Some more time should be spent on making them usable. Often I found some important steps missing and the explanations of how to do things a little lacking.

I built the LongEZ and the small P38; both ARFs went together very well. The LongEZ Looks great, flies great with an OS 46. The P38 flies scale with two OS 25 engines. No rudder is a little scary, but no problems even with one engine out. Directions could be better, but no problem with an experienced builder. Look forward to buying more from Nitro.

Just unpacked my CMP pro P 51 140, looks great so far.
Question: my wing covering needs shrinking, can you shrink this painted covering with a heat gun with no damage? or what is the proper way?
The add says no flap but she sure has flaps with internal control links NICE ( should change the add to include flaps as this is a big + on a P 51)
Will update more later , going play with my new toy.

This is NOT a complant..
Who do we contact about broken and missing parts in the kits?
After compleatly unpacking my new P 51 (cmp 140) found that my plastic main gear inserts are broken and very distorted almost look melted
shorted on the CA hinges.
Other than that I love the plane, nice detail and for the price you cant beat it.
This is my second ARF kit from nitroplanes, very happy with the first, AT-6 Texan 160

Email your concerns along with an order # to: [email protected]
Also go to the "what's wrong with nitroplanes.com" thread and PM nitrostaff1. He has been VERY reopnsive and is an asset to the company. Good luck and did you do anything like re-glue all the joints on you first ARF. When I get a ARF heli I go over all the nuts and bolts to check it out, but how do ya do that on a plane?

Thanks for the info, yes I did check and re- glue, I think that is a good habbit even on the high dollar ARF's
over all these kits are a good value and worth an extra hour or two doing some upgrading.
Thanks again

I have purchased 4 of your kits in the last 6 weeks, and until now all was ok. I bought the silver B-25, and when I started putting it together, I found I only have one engine cowl. I emailed the address at your site, and the response I received was that it is not availible, and when it is I can purchase from your site! That does not cut it. You should have offered to replace the kit, or as I would have preferred just send me another cowl. If you have to break a kit to do so, then do it and replace it when you get spares. How about it? Bob
Update. After this post I was contacted, and I received a new cowl today. Thanks Nitroplanes. Hope the customer service folks have been instructed on the proper way to respond to an inquiry. The products are certainly worth the money, and with service to match you should do very well. Bob

Living and flying at a club which is minutes away from Nitroplanes wharehouses, I met the owners and people who work for the company. Having met them on several occassions, I can tell you that they are super nice. I predicted 2 years ago that their company would thrive, and today I predict more good things for them in the future.
Class A and super nice people providing the common person in this hobby with products we want at affordable prices.
Now that is a recipe for success.

I like them because of thier new found desire to make customer satisfaction a number one priority. Along with great products they have a winning combo,,,never forget the people that have given you support and Nitroplanes, you will go far.

Is anyone from nitroplanes still reading this? Was this a hoax? Anyway, I just picked up the .60 sized Louie blue P-51. The web-site says installed retracts. They are not installed. You may want to update the web-site. Also, the instructions leave a LOT to be desired. Wing covering was loose, not just wrinkled but loose. I understand you get what you pay for, so I'm not complaining, but if you really want to do better, these are a few places you can start.

E-mail them as well as posting here.
Are you referring to this one: http://www.nitroplanes.com/newpmu6066ni.html
The advertizing does state "includes retractable landing gear" so at the least this should have been included.
