Default fuel proofing?

Iv had ppl tell me that regular spray paint is good fuel proofing. Iv used spray paint and epoxy thinned down with rubbing alcohol. Any word on that? Whats some of you guys methods? If its true about spray paint than you sure could save allot of money if your a fuel proof notsy like myself. Tony

Default RE: fuel proofing?

Most spray paint, particularly enamels dissolve in Nitrofuel, hence the problem.

These types of discussions really belong on the other forums btw.

The Epoxy and Alchohol works, but you must NOT use rubbing alchohol. There is far too much water in it.

Instead use denatured alchohol that you would find in the solvents and paint section of the hardware store.
