Default radio compatibility

Can anyone tell me if a JR FM transmitter will work with Airtronics FM receivers using the same channel number? My fleet of 5 planes all have Airtronics receivers on channel 25 and my Airtronics transmitter bit the dust. I would like to purchase a JR transmitter on channel 25 instead of another Airtronics.

Default RE: radio compatibility

As long as the shift pattern is the same (JR's use positive shift) you CAN indeed "cross pollenate" brands.

Airtronics and JR both use positive shift.

Be aware however that almost every manufactures RX's that have shift select capabilities... so you may want to check the existing shift patterns of your RX's. I'll bet that they ARE positive shift though... but play it safe.
