I have built the Nitroplanes 120 size Corsair (review is pending with RC Report) and aside from the problems noted in most of the other posts in this forum it wasn't too bad. Now I'm building the 120 size Hellcat (also for a RC Report review) and am having a problem with the engine placement. The hole in the firewall is off-center. Is this where the engine is supposed to line up? If so, what is the recommended offset to center the prop in the cowl. There is nothing in the instructions that even addresses this point. Your help would be appreciated and duly noted in the review.

Much like any other Chinese ARF, I'd just start out giving it 2 degrees down and 1 right, then seeing how it flies.
I do centering with a pen and ruler. Forget the existing hole and measure carefully.
As far as position forward, I get the engine mount in place then put the wings on the ARF's and adjust the C.G. as much as possible so that the engine stays for the most part within the cowl, but forward enough to help prevent the tail from being too heavy with the recommended or larger engine.
I'm in the same boat with a CMP Hellcat I just purchased from them.
Many other Chinese ARF's basically come with a single large sheet that looks somewhat like a blue print.
While the C.G. and throws are there, there is very little provided information.

Thanks, OP.
I was afraid to ignore the hole as the center lines drawn into the fiberglass line up with it. This is the same CMP Hellcat that I think you got. Even though I'm writing a review for RC Report on this plane, I'm going to use 2 elevator servos. What do you think about the wood dowel pushrod set up for the elevator? I would also be interested to know what engine and radio you plan to use.

Well I opened my box only to find that instead of the CMP plane that I had ordered, I was sent their cheaper knock-off.
Then to add insult to injury, the knock off has the fuselage damaged.
I guess it's my turn to see how NP resolves a BIG problem.... just let someone tell me I have to pay for shipping on this screw up!

Good luck!!
One of the complaints that people will read about in my review is their unresponsiveness. I've had a little of that and so have some others that I know.
send me a pm and let me know how it turns out.

I got THREE e-mails from them about this shortly after I wrote them.
They came through for me again. It looks like they are making the effort.
Good job NP, that's what keeps me buying.
