Has anyone had this problem with the nitro planes cap 232 60 size. after about 12 flights the wing folded about 10 inches out board of the center. It was a great flying airplane till the wing folded and i had to go swimming in the river to retreive the parts or what was left. Are all of thier planes this poorly built or did i just get a bad one. Hey nitro models how about a replacement, oh yeah radios don't work after submersion in H2O.

Did you look at the points the wings broke?

Do you see anything unusual or seemingly weaker than you would think?

Did you ever get any help with this problem?

plumberdeluxe, opjose is a private user of NP products and from my experience with him he is very experienced with many NP products and seams to like them. I for one would value his opinion on a plane he has experience with. His advocation of NP is likely due to the numerous posts bashing the company and he just wants to let people know that not everyone has had negative experiences with NP.

As opjose said though, this guy will not be responding to you. He posted this in July and has exactly one post, this one, to his name and has never returned. You may be better of sending him a "Private Message" aka: PM asking him what happened with this. That will send him an email to his registered email account notifying him that someone is trying to talk to him. Look at his post in this thread and you will see an Icon labled PM that will allow you to message him.

Thus far no one has offered opinions, just facts.

Does it matter either way?

No one indicated your post was inappropriate at all.

Rather that:

1 - On the other thread the question was just posed, so you need to give time for anything to transpire.

It may be weeks before that is resolved and by then your question may have been forgotten. There are many other threads here indicatative of problems that have been taken care off which may answer your questions more quickly.


2 - This thread is so old that the original poster is unlikely to come back and give you an answer.

As "Mr67Stang" said, if he is around at all a PM may get you are more timely response.

I'm in agreement with what you are saying for the most part.
As we discussed earlier we are both doing research before we part with our cash, and our quest has led us to this forum.

I have difficulty accepting heavily one sided opinions from the same guy blowing the same horn.
An opinion in every single thread is a bit much, unless you are a moderator or a Nitro Models Customer Service guy and they don't even do that.
If Nitro has problems, that is acceptable, as long as they try to right any wrongs.

Again........If guys are having major structural issues.........How can anyone defend that?
Blame the operator? Attack his building skills? Question his flying ability?

What if they are being honest and are simply coming here to get help.
This is where their supposed to go I would think.

Absolutely! I put a lot of effort into trying to see multiple possibilities. And my basic pessimistic outlook on human nature prevents me from trusting anyone outright. Charactor flaw if you will. If you go back to your original thread. "convince me.." you will see I was questioning your motives for the post as well in my first responce to you. It has been my experience that when a person has a failure the first thing they want to do is blame someone else. The most common reported cause off a R/C model airplane crash is probably the infamous "radio hit". As a reputable company that wants to stay in business they are going to have to deal with these people and take their word for it. From the consumer perspective I have to question the integrity of the complant based on my own experiences of human nature and response.

I don't know what you are talking about as all I've offered to you, have thus far been other BETTER places to look for your answers. NOT "opinions".

Since this is the support forum, the marjority of the posts here are from people who are having problems looking for an answer or help.


You've asked about the build quality, etc.

The other forums will cover both sides of the street, answering those questions in a unbiased manner. And often there are photographs of any models you may be interested in.

So far I've attempted to aid you repeatedly.

If you can't accept this, then it may be that you do not really want any answer. Is this the case?

Indeed Sir.
I used to fly with this old guy years ago.
He crashed everything he touched and blamed the radio every time.
Futaba made a fortune off this guy as he sent his radio in every time it happened.
I felt sorry for him and gave him my 4 star 60, radio, engine and all.
He blasted it the first flight.
Guess what..........My radio was bad.........LOL
