My dr 1 rolls to the left on take off can not stop this roll even at full right. have you had this before. Is there a fix. Mike.

Mike. Does the left wheel roll freely? Is it canted or crooked? Right thrust is built into the firewall, but did you mount the eng correctly? How much rudder throw do you have? I set mine up so it swings from stop to stop. It is hard to steer this plane on the ground anyway. Dont try to roll very far befor you apply throttle, and takeoff. I get mine pointed into the wind and firewall it.(on hard surfaces) It takes off in about 6 feet. On grass it handels much better, and I can get good scale like takeoffs. Landings are a pain also on hard surfaces. Much roll out will produce groundloop, and probably a noseover. Grass is the best with this plane................................antiquefer.
