Default 2.4 Camera Reciever?

My son and I were looking at the 2.4 GHz camera and would like to know what do you power the reciever with if you want to hook it to a digital camcorder and record inflight at the field.

With most of these, the choice is yours...

Usually people use a 12v power source, e.g. a larger field battery.

Well if you can use a 12v power source then it should not be a problem seeing how we use a 12v motorcycle battery to start our planes with.
