Exceed F-35 Nose Wheel Fix
If your having trouble opening up the front compartment that houses the received all the way? The nose wheel landing gear is shown in the installation manual wrong. The landing gear should be turned 180 degrees with the coil spring facing forward. Also file a flat spot on landing gear for the set screw. Use thread locker or CA on the set screw HAPPY FLYING

RE: Exceed F-35 Nose Wheel Fix
The compartments have two turn screw/fittings, and the cover opens right up. What is blocking yours?
The gear do not come pre-installed.
If you notice that the flat spot as it came from the factory is 180 degrees off from how you would like the gear installed, then I would advise AGAINST turning them around and filing another flat spot?
Why?
Because this weakens that area and makes it prone to break easily.
Better to have the spring reversed than fly with it prone to breaking.
I've had all this happen on larger planes... ugh.
