Default A Dear John Letter

[8D]Dear John,
Part 1
I just bought a Lancair 120; it is one of the nicest planes I have ever built for an ARF as well as an extremely good looking plane. The plane comes with fixed landing gear but there is an option I see that I could put retracts on the plane the wheel wells have been cut out and plastic wheel wells have been provided. My question is do you have plans on how to install mechanical retracts in the plane? I don’t want to go to air retracts (would cost more than plane) I’ve never installed mechanical retracts before and would like some type of instructions before doing so. I’ve talked some people from Dave Brown/Southern Pro Retracts and they make it sound like a snap to do. Or should I plan on doing a few hit and miss’s before I get it right. I’m a little confused on the servo tray that has been pre installed which space has been delegated for the main retracts and which for the nose gear? I see that the wings have what looks like pre drilled push rod guides for the main retracts I think. Would you have an amendment to the instruction manual? I have one more question on the plane, how do you attach the wing tip flares/winglets? Glue, heat, screw-on, bolt on, solder, plasma weld or rubber bands

Part 2
My family purchased 2 planes from nitro for me for Christmas a Zlin 50 and a low wing trainer w/simulator (Order # 461930). My son was really impressed with the low wing trainer that he bought one himself and I put it together for him at the same time I was putting together the Zlin 50. My problem is: I did not receive any graphics for the Zlin 50 as well my sons low wing trainer has a warped L/S aileron. I talked with someone at Nitro but he told me that the order was too old for them to do anything with (which was less than 30 days on the trainer), when I heard this I ask to speak we someone else or his supervisor. A person named Sam got on the phone and told me he would take care of this right away. It was at this time I ordered the Lancair 120 71” (Order # 518027). When I received my plane last Friday there were no parts sent to solve my problem. I don’t have a problem with waiting a little while for the graphics for the Zlin 50, but my son cannot fly his trainer until he gets the aileron L/S replaced. Can you check into this for me? I’m also looking to buying yet another plane from you. Could you put me on you’re your mailing list for new products (planes)?
Thanks John or Opjose

1. Sorry we don't have mechanical retracts for this plane but however we do have retracts online but it's not tested for compatibility.
