Nitro Planes sells a lot of airplanes for a smallish company. A lot of the planes they have are in fact sold out. However, keeping them listed lets you know that they are still carried and serve as a reminder to check back.

I would rather have a lot of planes to choose from, albeit having to wait for 'in stock' status, than have Nitro only sell a few planes and have them always in stock.

It's the Chinese factories again.

The OEM's are not putting too much out at the moment as they have laid off a lot of workers due to the recession.

Other vendors are all in the same boat as a result... I'm still awaiting a GMS engine from tower and a replacement muffer that has been on backorder for almost TWO YEARS!

1)its about MOQs , you have to be able to order the MOQs , and be willing to take an inventory position
2)containers are sitting empty , ocean freight is now the lowest it has been in years , vs last year when it was very very high .
3)I have no problem with out of stocks , but running ads on obsolete items that have been out of Stock for months is poor website maintenance .
4)You need a forecaster and planner , you need to know MOQs and turnarounds on Pos , do for example , is the turn around on a Po 120 days , 90 days , 140 ect
