I have the older pink Ultimate 120, and I am about to need to replace the cowling. I like the look of the yellow version's cowling much better and was wondering if it would fit mine. If so, how much are they and what would the shipping be to Anchorage AK 99506? Any help is appreciated. If you can even get me measurements of the yellow versiong cowling I can probably find out if it will fit. Thanks in advance,

Nope, they don't fit. I've tried.

Your best bet is to sand the outside of your existing cowling, apply fiberglass cloth, sand, and paint it.

You'll need "Circus Pink" paint which is an exact match.

It's not a paint issue as mine is already black, silver, and yellow. I just like the looks of the yellow one much better. I love this airplane, but as far as ultimates go, that is about the ugliest cowling there is. What doesn't fit about it? The front of the fuselage on the yellow one looks the same. Do you know of any other kits that have a cowl that fits it? Here is a pic.

The Yellow Ultimate has a completely different cowl design.

It is raked backward at a high angle, where comparitively the Pink one is not.

I have both planes. The Yellow cowl does not fit the Pink plane in any way shape or form, nor could it be cut down to fit.

In effect the rear of the cowl is too small to fit the Pink Ultimate.
