I have one of these too.

One thing that this plane really needs is intake ducting, which is not supplied.

I've been playing with making some using fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin.

The biggest difficulty is in forming a "plug" shape that you can use to mold the fiberglass.

Without the ducting, there is FAR too much turbulence in the intake and efficiency drops over 30-40%. This makes a huge performance difference.

Were you planning on looking into this?

Yeah I'm Getting There Right Now, I've Just Finished Testing The Nue 1515/3D Motor Which Will Give Me A 1:1 Ratio On 11 Cells, But 7lbs. Of Thrust On 10 Cells Adding Retracts Also, Just Waiting On The Mains To Come In, I'll Post What I Come Up With .

Your bench test of the EDF was riot to watch, with all of the debris flying by the camera!

Questions:

- Did you put in the retracts? That wasn't clear to me.
- Did you do anything about the intake ( or lack of intake ) ducting?

So In Conclusion Here's A List Of Electronic I've Used To Fly The Nitro Planes 100MM Starfire

(4) Hitec HS645MG HiTorque Servo's For (1) Elelavator And (2) Ailreons (1) Rudder.

(1) Hitec HS325BB For Steering.

(1) Castle Creation High Voltage 110 ESC (Speed Controller).

(1) 15153D NueMotors

(1) 3.5 Hoaye 90MM EDF Unit.

(9) Cell 25C Lipo Pack (1) 6 CellAnd(1) 3 Cell LIpo Pack To Get The 9 Cells, With (1) DeansY Connector.

This Power Setup Products 3000 Watts 8 Pounds Of Thrust.

For Ever 1 Pound On A EDF Setup You Will Need (375 Watts) Per Pound.

This Setup I Have Created Give's Me A 1:1 Ratio Which Is Over Kill . But To Successfully Fly This Jet Comfortable, You Will Need To Atleast Have 2000Watts To Fly Comfortable.
