Default A-10 Warthog

After purchasing the A-10 and finding out that the 9.6v 650Mah pack could not get it airborne I posted about it here and was informed that if I used an 11.1v 1300Mah Lipo pack it would transform the plane. You were right, after purchasing a Lipo balance charger and two 11.1v 1300 Lipo packs we went out to enjoy the airplane and it was transformed alright, into JUNK when after takeoff I lowered the nose to gain airspeed, I got it to about 15 feet above the ground and watched it fall to the ground and DISINTERGRATE! The engines, even with more voltage could not keep it airborne. This plane is JUNK. I have wasted not only the $89.00 plus shipping, now I have a new Lipo charger and two battery packs that are USLESS untill I buy another plane (which will NOT be from Nitroplanes ! )

Default RE: A-10 Warthog

I wasn't there, but it sounds to me like if you were only 15' off the ground at takeoff & had to lower the nose to gain airspeed, you tried to take off to early. As with any plane, you can force them into the air at lower air speed but usually they are soo touchy to almost any control surface input, the slightest movement of the "sticks" will result in exactly what happened to you. I don't know how long you've been flying, but the "jet"type planes aren't very easy for an experienced pilot, let alone an inexperienced pilot. If that is what happened to you, how could you blame the retailer? Not trying to start anything, just trying to figure it out. Good Luck
