RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
Hello John
I apparently made a mistake a few weeks back in reguards to a damaged canopy for my cessna 421. I bought the model thru Greenfield news and Hobby in Greenfield Wisconsin. I requested a new canopy from you and you had no record of it. Well now I no why.......
So George at Greenfield hobby ordered me a new canopy thru a gentelman name Norman. After 3 weeks I got the canopy today. It was just the shell without the framework. To remove and reattach the new shell is beyond my capability......... I did remove the old canopy and attach the new one. Fits terrible and to much sanding. Project was almost finished and cracked the new canopy...... This plastic or thin fiberglass is so brittle that it cracks with no effort.
Can you contact me about getting this replaced? I do not want a plastic shell. I am asking for a new COMPLETE canopy that I just have to mount.
As I also understand the model did come from you.
Thanks alot John

Damaged Battery Hatch for "CMPPro C-160 EP-Powered Twin-Engine RC Scale Plane Almost-Ready-to-Fly"
-Order number ( usually begins with YSTxxx ).
yhst-17210252890263-100390
- Link to the web page showing which product you purchased.
http://www.nitroplanes.com/c-160-rc-plane.html
-Description of the item you are trying to obtain.
The Battery hatch is badly constructed and does not sit in the fuselage properly and may affect flight characteristics or may blow off and be lost.
I would like a replacement provided under warranty as I have only recently assembled the model.
- If possible pictures help.

RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
Hi John,
I was wondering where my parts were for this Yak 54. You had responded to my post a few months ago and I still haven't seen the parts you said you would replace. Here is my original post:
On December 24th, I did a ‘first flight’ on a Yak 52 3D (50) that I purchased from Nitro Planes on July 21st 2009, order #607227. It was powered by a reliable OS 70 Surpass with Futaba electronics.
First flights are a routine matter for me, as I bring out nearly a dozen new models every year of all types, from feather weight electrics to very high wing loading scale warbirds. I have about 35 years of R/C flying experience and have very well developed flying skills.
Our club also requires a complete new plane inspection prior to first flight to further reduce the potential for a crash. Mark G, a club inspector and expert pilot, performed the inspection, we checked and re-checked the balance and throws, and were ready to go.
With Mark by my side to help with any trim issues, we took your Yak off, made a few quick adjustments to the ailerons and elevator, and all seemed to be well. After a total of 1 & ½ circuits of our small flying field, I noticed something fly off the plane, which turned out to be half of the horizontal stabilizer. I immediately had a major control issue, which quickly turned into a semi-controlled crash due to lack of elevator response. The entire front of the fuselage was destroyed, along with most of the tail. We recovered the defective stabilizer and quickly determined that the wood grain was going in the wrong direction and was very soft wood to begin with.
I am requesting that you replace the fuselage, vertical and horizontal stabilizers, rudder, elevator and engine mount. If the fuselage is the same dimensions as mine, I still have a useable canopy and cowl (the cowl was removed for the first flight). If not, I will need those parts as well. The wing and landing gear is useable.
I have noticed in your current ad for the same model that you advertise it as having a NEW!! Reinforced fuselage and tail. Wish I had started with one of those!
I am very disappointed with the quality of this model, it is completely unacceptable and I can assure you that I will do no further business with Nitro Planes until you replace this plane, or the requested parts as long as they fit. Please note that since March 2008, I have purchased 9 models from you totaling $1236.57. Seven of those were purchase in 2009, and total nearly $1000.00. (I can provide receipts if you wish, as well as photos of the crashed plane.).
Please note that I have already spent over $1000 in 2010 in this hobby, and none has gone to Nitro. I will resume doing business with you when this is resolved.
Thanks

good luck getting nitro planes to help. they don't even take care of there dealers any more so i heard from a friend that is a dealer. i've lost faith and they lost all my business.
we at our field lost one of those yaks last year on maiden also same problem and had to purchase another and re-desinged the horz. stab. as far as nitro planes. no one in our club will do any business with them any more. A GOOD EXPERIENCE IS SHORT LIVED, A BAD ONE IS NEVER FORGOTTEN

NitroModel Low-Wing Super Trainer 60 90A185 71"
Had the wire control horn for the right aileron fracture and aileron separate inflight on third hop. Wire horn broke at first bend below servo rod attach point where wire goes from vertical to horizonal to parallel trailing edge of wing (concealed inside the wing structure) Aileron started immediate flutter and ripped hinges right out the wing cleanly at the pivot point. Crash destroyed fuselage. I can rebuild the wind but need a price on a new fuselage. My e-mail is: [email protected]

I would not expect anything from NP support. There are several recent posts that indicate a complete abandonment of this thread.

Abandonment seems correct. I've gotten no response since my request on the 7th (today's the 14th) I guess you buy it, you're on your own.

RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
Actually, guys, I wasn't abandoned. Jerry (?) gave me a personal call with information about the wing. They now have it in stock for $20. I have been disappointed at lack of response from the Forum, but Nitroplanes is supporting the planes they sell... at least with my planes.
I get a better response from calling the support number and waiting my turn to actually speak to someone.
