Default what to do with excess wires from Hawk Sky/EZ Hawk engine

Folks,

What is everyone doing with the extra wiring when assembling the Hawk Sky or EZ Hawk?

Gale155...you put one of these together right?

Thanks in advance

What extra wiring?

Or are you refering to the wires being too long ( not a bad thing )?

Hey opjose,

Yes...is there a "right way" to  tuck those 3 long wires away?

Thanks in advance

I just use plastic wire ties after folding the wires back on themselves.

On many planes I'll also affix wire tie hold downs, to act as anchor points.

You can always cut the ties with a set of nippers whenever you need to adjust anything.

Grab some from the wiring/electronics section of your local hardware store.

While you are there, peruse the small hardware isle, with "RC" in mind.

You'll find all manners of things that will be much cheaper there...

e.g. standoffs, blind nuts, Metric and SAE cap screws, etc.

What I did was just cut out some of the foam under the motor pod, making it easier to shove the wires down into the fuselage.
