RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Geez. Amazing how things change when you get what you want. One extreme to the other. Probably it was just like the man said they are super busy during the christmas rush and they dont have time to check their probably thousands of emails a week. Now that christmas is over he can email you three times a day so you dont flame his company any further on RCU. You know this company is a bare bones distributor that sells cheap arf kits. If you want lightning quick customer service you probably need to go ahead and pay premium price and go with horizon hobby.

Nice , KEEP YOUR PERSONALE ATTACKS TO YOURSELF!!!!
Not what this post is for Wait till it happens to you!!!!! That is exactly what this post is for or maybe you didnt read that part. The bare bones company started this forum to resolve problems and change the bad rap that they have created, And they should get credit when they correct it. Yes I was upset after nine days with no reply, looks to me that Im not alone, since then they have taken care of the problem and it is only fair that I share this with you and others on this forum. What should I do stay pissed? , And What? I am not allowed to be happy when I get someting I should have had from the start. My complaint was with the company and it was resolved. I think you should take your BS to onther forum |

I do not think that he is just saying this about you, i too have been watching so many people complain about there kits and cut the company and when they get there part it is a great company trying there best, he is not pointing just you out it is everyone that buys from this company and this is an over and over thing they do the same and order another kit and again there cutting the company down, people but there cause here chealp kits but they are not that bad i know a buy that buys there and has not had any problems yet, but it is as easton 24 said but he was not just saying this about you or to put you down, maybe it could of been said in a better way, i think that it is great that they do take care of people even though they are slow some companys that i buy top quality airplanes will not replace certain things or you have a hard time to get what was broken, this is a site like damroadhog has mentioned to not point anyone out after all we are all in the same hobby so let us all talk nicely to one another and i do not blame one for complaining about what he did not get and he did get his part so in the end everyone is happy and if not for these people that are complaining we would not know about what we are dealing wih and it is nice of them to tell us what is going on and i am glad that he got his plane taken care of by his actions, this is a free site for one to say as he wants to but not to cut anyone down, let us listen and learn from one another. |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Biggest problem I've seen is a construction manual obviously written by someone who never actually put a plane together - specificially a Bobcat 50. Wrong screws were specified for several assembly steps, and assembly called for glueing the wings on before assembling the wing pylons. Biggest problem however, was that the fuel tank was shown installed with the plug end facing the pusher engine. In this configuration the plane would stall the minute the plane pulled up.

RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Hi there people!!! Basically pilot727 is right...We chose to have this forum discussion on our behalf because we want to improve our customer service...It is OK for people to whine and vent their frustrations here because this is exactly what this forum is about...however, we tried our best to train our customer service people not to send any frustrating customers here...if there's problem, we do our best to solve it over emails or phone...it's jsut that sometimes the people we hire just not managing the customer service dept well enough so some really frustrating customers would come to RCU! It's OK because the upper management people just want to catch every issues we have!!! and to be honest, some of the people we hire might ignore issues in the past (like early stage of our business) but I think the last half of 2006 has been pretty cool (besides some missing part issues, damage by fedex, and the busy christmas :( )...
so i hope 2007 will be a even better year and hopefully this thread will not take off :D !!! We will also add a few more tech guys to the team and mostly likely will work with our local flying clubs to help us out with tech issue :D We will also work more on the QC to minimize missing parts and add more $$$ to the package so it won't be damage as easily.... As for the manuals, it has always been a negative factor to us so we going to improve on those too!!! Just a slower process So until next year, Happy New Year everyone!!! |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Happy new year to you np and to the rest of you pilots out there. rollie

RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
IMHO it's also nice to hear when things ARE resolved.
So often things do get taken care off (I'm not talking just about N.P. here.) but the original posts may leave a poor impression that others may pick up on, especially when people don't read through entire threads. I'm glad to see that NP is back at it dealing with these things. |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Well I'm here to say "HAT'S OFF TO NITROSTAFF1!!!!!" he helped me get new replacement parts for damaged ones in VERY GOOD TIME, especialy for it being Christmass and all. RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Nitro,
When you get a chance, check out order yhst-17210252890263-13697 for me. I ordered a speed controller, 7.4 battery and a 4ch receiver. Received the order but the receiver was shorted from the box. I don't know if it was lost or fell out during shipping as no packing list was included, and it shows shipped status on your site. I have emailed pictures of the box to your support email but have not heard back from the initial response a few days ago. I know you guys are slammed, just don't forget me :) |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Im sorry you think it was a personal attack but like you said this is a forum. I just noticed how it went to 3 sentence request for update on your missing parts from nitro to Im calling the law. To this is one great company. Sorry if you feel that way. No BS. I can see from your reply I hit a nerve. I am truly sorry. No BS. And I have had issues with companies before believe me you are not the only one in this world that opens a box and finds missing parts. But I usually wait more than 9 days to call the law. Then again what would they do about some missing parts out of a model airplane kit. No BS.

Can't understand why you involve yourself in something that clearly does not concern you at all. You say you are truly sorry and then continue insult and taunt, maybe you should read the RCU policies! You have your facts wrong!! I never said they are a great company anywhere in this post, nor did I say I would call the law, I said I would use the law and there are laws that protect consumers, I supplied that information on this post for others. How long I give a company to respond to a complanit is up to me not you. What ever the price, a consuner should get the goods and services they paid for. This forum is intended for complaints and concerns dealing with Nitroplanes.com and is not here for you to make insults or to harass other members. Dave |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Nitrostaff1,
I started a thread for a problem I am having with my cowl on a Yak-52 56". The cowl is terribly deformed, and looks terrible on an otherwise nicely built plane. My First Yak did not have this problem, and was a real joy to fly for 3 flights, until someone shot me down on takeoff. So I ordered another plane from one of your vendors. I have had the plane for about 3 weeks when I got the opportunity to finally build it, and completed it in just 2 days. The plane this time around did not have the cowl "ring" glued to the firewall, or 5 slots for CA Hinges in the wings like my first one did. I also noticed that the firewall was not covered in matching trim colors like my first one was. I am not at all unhappy with my plane, but would like some help with the cowl, and possibly some yellow covering to cover the firewall edges. |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Nitrostaff,
This is not a complaint but more of a suggestion. How about some pictures on the website of the underside of the planes. I don't know about everyone else but I tend to look at the bottom more than the top....LOL Anyways, just a suggestion. |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
As far as suggestions go, how about a packing list showing parts that did not arrive due to pack order, online order status that is accurate, and accurate inventory status of online items. Customer service that responds in less that 12 hours would be a plus too. Putting packing material into a box full of loose items would be a amazing step in the right direction as well.

RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
I cannot really say i have seen any airplane that nitro put out, today i seen there cap 54 and my gosh, what a very beautiful airplane and i loved everything about it i think that i am going to have to ry my luck there even if something is missing or broken this kit was complete and i guess that the people that do have parts missing it is not thee fault and they are getting replacved, even if it does take a litte time and they seem to be doing much better

RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
When will NitroPlanes offer ARC versions of the Katana, Yak, and Giles 202? I'm looking for 66" - 72" planes.
Thanks |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
I have no beef with Nitroplanes, as my experience has been pretty good. Shipping was reasonably fast and a bit expensive, but overall I guess it is competitive. As for the parent company (RaidenTech), that's another story. I had actually figured out on my own that RaidenTech and NitroPlanes were related because the credit card charge both said "EGRANDBUY". I ordered a RC helicopter from RaidenTech on Dec. 14, which had time to get here before Christmas and I waited and waited and waited.... Nothing changed on order tracking up to the time I cancelled my order after Christmas and put the charge in dispute. Response from customer service was slow, sometimes taking several days to get a response, and the response was not always relevant to what I had sent to them. It was like they did not read what I had sent them. I even called them at my expense, got voicemail, left a message and no one called me back. That's pretty bad customer service. It will be a VERY long time before I order anything from RaidenTech again.
I was desperate to find a Bell 47 RC helicopter and no one in this country seemed to have one until I found one in stock at HOBBY E-STORE. I ordered one before Christmas and days later when no shipping information was forthcoming, contacted them and made an inquiry. It turns out that there was NOT one in this country, and it was going to have to come from China. It is now Jan. 4, and it STILL has not been shipped from China. They said it was due to being on vacation from Christmas and New Year's (yeah, right, and maybe hung over?). I thought the Chinese New Year came later in January. I had given them the OK to substitute 2 different helicopters and yep, you guessed it, both of them were out of stock and would have to come from China also. Sometimes it seems the customer just cannot win. So the problems we are all experiencing with one company are not uncommon. Other sellers appear to have similar problems. I am just getting started with RC helicopters and have the itch bad, but I just can't scratch it, doggone it. I would like to say that MYRCSUPPLY has excellent customer service, and quick response to inquiries. They even called me on the telephone early the next day to talk to me about a late night e-mail sent just the night before. Their ground shipping is SLOW but that appears to be due to the carrier, not the seller. I will buy again from both NITROPLANES and MYRCSUPPLY. Both them are trying hard to do it right. BTW, anyone have a suggestion on how to install a replacement tail rotor motor on a Walkera 22E? I have destroyed 3 of them trying to get one installed correctly (pressing the gear on the shaft without damaging the motor). |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
ORIGINAL: retired911guy I have no beef with Nitroplanes, as my experience has been pretty good. I will not order from Raidentech, but I've had nothing but good experiences with Nitroplanes and I just ordered a few MORE planes from them... hmmm... seven now? Re: Tail Motor The easiest way to do this is to heat the gear with a flame, or light propane torch. While it is hot the gear will slide right in, but it cools VERY quickly. Once cold it grips quite well, though a micro drop of CA blue on the shaft of the motor will prevent the gear from turning. |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
Nitroplanes, EGRANDBUY, or whoever runs this company should look at the really successful web companies. The ones that provide good customer service go through the roof.
NewEgg is a company that you can't find anything bad said about. Most people GUSH about the great service they receive. This company did 1.4 billion in sales and will continue to see sales skyrocket, because they provide truly outstanding customer service!! |
RE: WHAT'S WRONG WITH NITROPLANES.COM?
I have just the thing to heat the gear, and I think a hemostat would be good to hold it while heating/installing the gear. Thanks for the idea. I will give it a try...as soon as someone sends me the darn motor. I had ordered with the 'copter from RaidenTech (forget that) and I have ordered another from HOBBY ESTORE along with the 'copter from China (and I have no clue as to when it will arrive and anyone want to put money on whether or not it is even included with the order with the helicopter?). MYRCSUPPLY does not stock the motor, unfortunately. They checked while they had me on the phone and were apologetic that they could not send me one or one that would work/substitute for the correct one. They get an A+ for effort.

This company did 1.4 billion in sales and will continue to see sales skyrocket, because they provide truly outstanding customer service!! NP deals in a relatively low volume of inexpensive imported planes... in a "get them in and out the door" environment, while the other does a HUGE volume in computer parts sales, and can practically throw away any defective items, while still making a profit. You can ALWAYS go and deal with Tower or Horizon. Their Customer Service is GREAT. However that means an associated support staff (Towers has spun theirs off into another company!) and higher margins and prices. So it boils down to getting what you pay for. |
