RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
A Beatiful plane! I wish the manufacturer would go back into production on those Peashooters.
I've been wanting one since I ran accross that listing. Unfortunately the lack of a sellable plane also points to a lack of parts too... |

Hello NitroModels
Do you have a estimate when Item#: 93A40-13-LandingGearSet will be in? I just got the Flying Tiger kit, and I want to put the retracts in. Note that I'm a bit disappointed that you advertise that the kit has the retracts, and down below you point out it doesn't have them. You should go to Airfield and get them to include them! Other then that, the plane looks great so far (I haven't taken everything out and inspected it yet though) Thanks! |

ORIGINAL: opjose To speed things up please do the following. - Always provide your order number ( usually begins with YSTxxx ). - Provide a link to the web page showing which product you purchased. - Include a description of the item you are trying to obtain. - If possible pictures help. Please note: - If a component is not in stock it can take a while to get a replacement from the manufacturer. - Nitroplanes may at it's discretion pull requested parts from new aircraft for you. Super Chipmunk Cowling........listed on your parts page.........it has been OS for quite a while. If they are still producing the aircraft, should they not have them? Any chance someone could make a call, email, or even a fax to the factory to check for sure? It is a shame........nice aircraft, good quality.........no spare parts. So................can you use your descretion and pull a cowling for me? Thanks, Fred |

re: http://www.nitroplanes.com/90a268.html Item#: 90A268-Senorita-EP-Trainer, order # 995690.
Got this item UPS yesterday. Undamaged intact box. Lots of missing items; unacceptable for sure. Items missing are: aluminum front wing joiner, metal rear wing joiner, bag #4 - horiz stab and elevator assembly, bag #6 - sub bag with 4 x mounting screws, Bag #7 and subbag - windshield and screws, bag #8 and sub bag A & B - Complete LG setup, also bag # 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. Rather pitiful performance here. You can reach me ASAP at tshafer3661 (at) charter.net. Tom Shafer |
RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
Just a follow up. Melissa, manager from Nitro, called with 24 hours of getting notifying email. She said she will locate the missing parts and mail them Monday. The box was sealed at factory so appears the screw up was there.

Hello, my son and I are looking for spare parts for the Exceed J3. We would like to get a new fuselage. Also, any suggestions for another trainer I can get him forChristmas? Finally, is there a big difference in difficulty in flying a 3 channel vs 4 channel for a beginner? Thanks
|
RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
Will leave the other questions for Nitro.
Will say the Seniorita is a great trainer they have in stock. It is easy to convert from electric design to glow. I plan to cut an extra firewall from 1/8" ply and epoxy it on. You can get a motor mount at your hobby shop. You will probably be able to rig up the mount and cut the cowl to fit your 2 cycle engine. If you need a 4 cycle cowl, I got a fiberglass one on the 'net. I would stay away from 3 channel. Not a big difference but you will just learn have to fly 4 channel later. In training, you turn with the ailerons and use the rudder rarely. Tom |
RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
I know the other guy said to stay away from 4 channel, I don't know that I agree with that. For learning, a top wing that rights itself takes one of the confusing factors out, with ailerons you will loose a lot of the self - righting characteristics that you want on a early trainer. Then after a few planes, switch to ailerons. That way you get the feel a bit more before you start flying a plane that's easier to tip-stall and loose orientation with. That was why my flying friends recommended I start with a elevator/rudder plane, and hold off on the 4 channel aileron planes until I had some stick time. It sounds like he might have had a plane already, if so and he's able to fly it reasonably well, then consider the 4 ch. plane.
