Default Looking for OS FS-26 Info ...

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an OS FS-26 to put into a 25 sized warbird so I can squeeze into a "little bird fun fly".

Can you tell me how long the FS-26 has been out of production? (I'm pretty new to RC flying)

and

How is the parts availabilty for the FS-26 ... any anticipated problems in the near future, say in the next 2 or 3 years?

Thanks,

Dave

The O.S. Max FS-26 Surpass engine's last production run was in the first half of 2002. Parts should be available for about another five years.

Just follow the instructions that came with the engine. You'll do fine.

Hey Bax,

How far open should the airbleed screw be?

Thanks,

Initial setting for an air-bleed screw is such that it covers one-half of the airbleed hole. You have to look at the carb to get it there.

What is the max size prop that it will handle. I am building a Lazy Bee and want to float around but have punch in case I need it.

We've seen a 9 X 4 or 5 on it. Maybe an 8 x 6 or 7.
