hello bill i have a .91 FX that i have spent the last 2 months trying to get running good i have it rinning on a perry pump.....and was running it on the stock muffler untill it fell apart in flight
......now i've got a pipe on it.........well here's my problem......it doesnt start up well....idles like crap and dies after a transition.........it has bubbles in the lines and i cant get rid of them.....the vibration is very low the pump is fine i just cant find out whats wrong with this thing...........i had a .46 LA on my trainer along time ago and it ran great so i know that it should run well..........maybee i will send it in and have it replaced for a newer version.........i just got it 9 months ago.

If an engine has good compression, a good plug, and good fuel, it will start. If it's hard starting, something has gone off somewhere. Either it's not getting fuel, is being over-flooded, has compression loss, a bad carb setting, bad technique, and so on.
A bad idle can be traced to low compression, a bad plug, bad fuel, a bad needle setting, and so on.
As far as the bubbles in the lines are concerned, your note doesn't mention where they are, but if they're between the needle and the carb, it's the same difficulty that's been plaguing other modelers, and we've sent to O.S. all of the threads on the subject. They've told us they're looking into the problem.
