Default ring job

I pulled the cylinder and piston in my os 32 to put in a new ring. Now I can't figure out how to get the rod back on the crank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: ring job

To reassemble your engine, you insert the piston/rod assembly into the crankcase and get it on the crankshaft. You then slide the liner down over the piston. There is a bevel inside the bottom edge of the liner to compress the ring. Make sure the ring is oriented properly so that the ring gap is at the pin in the ring groove, and that the ring gap rides on one of the cyliner liner's webs.
