3 blade prop for .61FX
Would a Master Airscrew 3 blade 12x6 prop be too much prop for an OS .61 FX. I am putting it on a Sig Hog-Bipe that weighs just under 8lbs? And what would be the ideal RPM range for a 3 blade prop for this engine?
Thanks,
Johnny Millwood

Your 12x6 is in the right general size range for this engine. the best way to select a 3-blade prop for your engine is to run it with a 2-blade, find what gives you the best possible performance in your situation -- fuel, altitude, load, etc -- and then select a 3-blade prop which is either 1" smaller diameter or 1" less in pitch. From there youll want to experiment to find a "perfect match".
Your ideal RPM is the same ideal RPM as spinning your 2-bladed prop.
