Did any OS ever have a chrome sleeve on the cylinders?

All O.S. Max racing car, racing marine, and ducted-fan engines have true chrome plating. Virtually all of their non-ringed engines went away from full chrome plating in the late 1980's or so, due to the expense of compliance with environmental laws in Japan. Chromium compounds are extremely toxic, and there are very stringent environmental and workplace safety regulations where chromium compounds are used.

The current ABL process produces excellent results.
