Last week I'd buy a 46 AX engine,
I don't know why but engine was w/o his muffler; shop's guy give me
an FX muffler.
when I was at home I did have a dubt. The old muffler will work as
the new, or it's better go to shops and call a change?

I think that muffler that comes with the AX is one ugly thing, take the FX muffler and consider yourself ahead.

I did not tighten the bolt and ended up losing the back half of the AX muffler, so I had to replace it. Got the FX muffler and have had 0 problems with it since.

The mufflers for the O.S. Max .46 FX and .46 AX are interchangeable. They'll go on either engine with no problems.
