Hi, I have just brought a model that has a new 21RG engine that needs to be run in the manual shows the needle setting of 3 turns but nothing for the mixture/low speed screw or the idle screw. Could someone please help as I dont want to damage the engine.
Thanks

nellysinc,
The initial setting of the idle mixture needle is set with the carburetor opened to the full-throttle position (the engine's not running at this time!). There should be about a 4mm gap between the needle and the nozzle when you look into the venturi.
This is a rough, rich setting, and you'll work on the idle mixture after you've gotten the high-speed needle close to where you want it set.
