my os .61 fx runs perfectly on the test stand with the factory silencer upright and sideways, BUT will not run properly with a pitts installed.(runs lean w/ no high speed adjustment). the pressure tap is open on the pitts .......please respond

Jon,
I'm guessing you mean you're not feeding back pressure to the tank? If so, that's critical. In addition, many pitts offer too little backpressure even with the nipple in use, in which case you need to 'silence' one of the two output tubes with steel wool or crimp it shut.
