Default Lower Compression

What is the result if you add a shim and run 20%? Will the engine run cooler? how much less power i any? etc?

Default RE: Lower Compression

The only reason for lowering the compression ratio is if the engine is detonating with your fuel and exhaust system. You will not necessarily get an increase in power just from changing the ratio.
