Default Piston color

I was just wondering what the piston color should be after about 3/4 of a gallon? I think mine looks kind of a bronze color. I have not removed the head I just see it when I take out the glow plug to do the after run oil procedure. It still feels like it has plenty of compression, and runs very strong. Should I even be concerned?
Thanks Alan

As your engine is used, the top of the piston will discolor. That's normal. A light bronze color is fine.
