I have a O.S. RG .21 engine (Non Pullstart) and was thinking about putting it in a HPI Savage, if I can convert it. Can it be done? If so, what parts are needed? One more question, How do you think it would perform? or is it better off staying in a 1/8 scale buggy? Thanks for your help...

Clint,
To convert your O.S Max .21 RG so that it will accept a recoil starter, you'll need to order a new crankshaft, rear cover, and the recoil unit. Here are the stock numbers and list prices of the parts you'll need:
OSMG4491 23602030 CRANKSHAFT 21RGX $27.99
OSMG8968 23602050 START SHAFT 21RGX $19.99
OSMG8978 73003000 #5 RECOIL STRTR ASMB $42.99
OSMG8220 23601800 REAR ADAPTER 21RGX $40.99
This is getting rather close to the street price of the ready-to-go engine, which is really the way to go.
