Hi, ive just bought a 91fx for a nitromodels 65" 9-10lb tucano and want to turn a 3 blade propeller. The instructions that came with the motor say a 14x7 3b but i think this might be a bit big. which would you recomend? im running a large volume pitts muffler, thanks Greg

With the very limited number of 3-blade propellers available, we'd say put anything on it that looks good when the model's being displayed, and fly with a 2-blade prop that makes the model fly properly. That's because it will be very difficult to find a 3-blader that will be "right" for the model, and 2-blade props are just more efficient. Besides, once it's running, nobody can tell what prop you have.
We suggest a propeller that will allow the engine to turn in the high 10,000's into the 11,000's. High 11's isn't unreasonable, depending upon the performance you want.
If you must use a 3-blade prop, try the suggested one and see what RPM you get and how the model flies. If you need more RPM, you may try reducing the diameter of the prop. Do this carefully and make sure the prop stays balanced...more difficult to do with a 3-blader than a 2-blader.
