Default OS FT-160 valve adjustment

Hello, I am wanting to adjust the valve setting on my 160 twin. The manual says to follow the directions in the tool kit. The instructions are for a single cylinder motor. I now have the glowplugs out and the pistons at TDC. Is this the correct crank position? If so, do I make the adjustment for both sides at the same time and at this same crank position?
What has me wondering is that the right side adjust screws are screwed down alot more than the left side with the clearance at .004

Thanks, Mark

Default RE: OS FT-160 valve adjustment

I think I have found the error of my way here. By rotating the crank one revolution the right side is now way out of adjustment, so I set the valve clearance at that point. So, all should be good now. Please let me know if I am still wrong.
Sorry for the premature post.

Thanks, Mark

Default RE: OS FT-160 valve adjustment

Normally, you'd turn the engine so that one valve is fully-opened. You then adjust the other valve. The repeat the process with the original valve fully-opened and adjust the other.

You can also turn the engine so that the piston is at Top Dead Center with both valves closed. You then adjust both of them.

Use two feeler gauges, one is 0.04mm. and the other is 0.10mm. The thin one fits and the thick one doesn't.
