Default OS FS-91 / w Pump, should I avoid castor oil?

Hello everyone,

I am using my OS FS-91 / pump version only for about 4 months per year, so there are intervals ( 8 monhts) when I am not running it at all.

Will using fuel that has 18 % oil (80/20 synthetic / castor oil) cause problems referring to the pump and the regulator?

I have been told that castor oil might be causing problems for the sensitive components, such as the regulator and the pump, during the intervals when I am not running the engine.

Consequently, I would appreciate to hear your comments / experiences as well.

thank you[8D]

When you go to store the engine, just run some all-synthetic fuel through the pump...or run some methanol in the pump. You don't have to run the engine, just flush out the pump and then cap-off the in and out nipples of the pump to prevent the inside from drying.
