I'm installing my os in a magic extra and the fuel tank sits about 11/2 in below the needle valve.I can't get the tank any higher .Is this ok?I always thought for best results the mid level tank should be level with the needle valve.Thanks---Mike

Mike,

If the fuel tank is too low, you'll likely have to have the engine rather rich at the beginning of the flight so that it's not too lean near the end of the flight. If the tank's too high or too low, the engine will change mixture quite a lot during the flight.

The only way to eliminate this would be to go to a pumped or other pressure/regulator type system.
